Small Town Charm
Amery is located in western Wisconsin, just over an hour from the Twin Cities. Downtown Amery is a five-minute walk from the Alcove. There you will find a local ice cream and coffee shop, a drugstore, gift and antique stores, and numerous cafes and restaurants. In warmer months, there is a local farmers market held on Saturdays from 9am-12pm and Mondays from 3-6pm, and free weekly concerts in the park.
The Alcove retreat is just steps away from the Stower Seven Lakes Trail, which connects to the Cattail State Trail in town. North Twin Lake connects to Pike Lake via a nearby channel. Feel free to use our paddleboat, canoe, or kayak to explore both lakes.
